João Miguel Palaio holds an MA in Comparative Studies from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, and an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the School of Social and Human Sciences of the NOVA University of Lisbon. He has worked as a researcher and published in the field of Comparative Literature, American Studies, and Queer Theory. His work as a teacher focuses on the teaching of writing as a tool for the development of competences for democratic culture.
